Happy New Year it is as we look forward to another year in Bristol. Here is Bristol Culture looking back at a few memorable events from our city in 2012 and offering some great ideas for things to look forward to in 2013.

Bristol has lots to entertain us with during the next few weeks of Winter. This includes the Slapstick Festival, which celebrates silent film and classic comedy from the 24th January.

This weekend is also the last chance to catch the M Shed's special 'Real and Imagined Lives' exhibition. Meanwhile, the wildlife photographer of the year exhibition continues into February.  Peter Pan is still flying at Bristol Old Vic until the 19th January and Swan Lake graces the Hippodrome stage next week!

Finally, we're extremely excited about the 60 Gromit sculptures to be unleashed on the streets of Bristol this coming year!
